Summary:

Field Technicians read blueprints and work orders that vary per job to fabricate and install equipment such as cranes, racks, mezzanines, and portafab. Most days technicians will travel as a team to different plants to do installations, service, or maintenance and the return home at the end of the day. They will at times though travel overnight, work evenings, or work weekends. Every job is different and locations vary. We are looking for a hard worker who is willing to learn. Ideally this candidate has worked in manufacturing maintenance, mill work, or similar but it is not necessary. This is an entry position but potential to move into a Lead Field Technician with the right knowledge and attitude. Lead Technicians only hired in house.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Power tools, Hand tools, Blueprint reading, Machinery rigging, Industrial installations, Maintenance, Operating forklifts

Competencies:

  • Positive attitude, team player, ability to take direction, driven and hard worker
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Fabrication knowledge
  • Electrical Knowledge preferred

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 years industrial installation experience preferred
  • General contracting and Millwright knowledge preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Stooping/kneeling/crouching
  • Exposure to loud noises
  • Exposure to temperature changes
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Working at heights above 4ft

Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Hours are somewhat flexible and some late evenings/weekends may be required.

Travel:

Must be willing to travel throughout KY and surrounding as job requires.

Work Environment:

Working in the field which may be inside industrial locations, possibly outside exposed to the elements.
